Photocatalysis

Photocatalysis promises a solution to challenges associated with the intermittent nature of sunlight which is considered as renewable and ultimate energy source to power activities on Earth. Therefore, our research mainly focuses on small molecules conversion by photocatalysis:

1. Solar-to-H2/O2 production;

2. CO2 photoreduction to generate high-value-added products;

3. H2O2 photosynthesis;

Electrocatalysis

High-efficiency electrocatalysis plays a pivotal role in integrating renewable energy technologies, the hydrogen economy, and carbon capture / utilization, highlighting the necessity to explore strategies for modulating the relevant electrocatalytic reactions and optimizing device performance so as to ensure a sustainable future. Our research mainly focuses on 

1. Electrocatalytic water splitting; 

2. Nanostructured catalysts for fuel cell and metal-air battery technologies;

3. Electrocatalytic conversion of small molecules. 

Ion Battery

Ion battery provides an efficient solution to energy storage and conversion in the portable devices, electric vehicles and large-scale energy storage system, constantly pursuing low cost, high energy density and long lifetime. Therefore, our research mainly focuses on:

1. New rechargeable battery technology;

2. High-performance electrode materials and energy storage mechanism;

3. Electrolyte regulation technology
